From first light to dusk the roosters queued up to stare straight down the lens — a white one at 06:22, a black bird with a golden crest at 07:00, and by mid-morning a near-continuous procession: copper-and-gold combs, a black-and-white rooster flanked by a turkey and a brown hen, one dark cockerel perched on a metal bowl to make his point, and a golden bird with an iridescent green tail who held the frame for four straight minutes around 11:58. Turkeys foraged along the wooden fence, a grey hen and a white chicken drifted through, and by evening a brown hen worked at a perch in close-up. 19,246 frames across the farm.

The named news: Birdimir is feathering out. New portraits went onto the farm site, and his plumage was described and filed to the flock notes — laced, black-tipped scalloping on neck and saddle over a white base, speckled body, black wingtips and tail coming in, comb still small and upright with baby down around the eyes. The red band on his left leg confirms the ID.

Pumpkin patch shots also went up, and the white broad-breasteds and the bronze tom were out fanning through the squash.
