Bronze tom over the netting

One real farm event today, and it was a bird where he shouldn't be.

Around 13:49 a bronze tom turned up perched on the top rail of the run frame — outside the netting, having flown up and over rather than roosting inside with the flock. He was still up there exposed on the beam, not in with the others.

Best guess on outcomes, none of them confirmed: he may well fly himself back down into the run on his own, or he could wander off past the fence line. Turkeys fly better in short bursts than they look like they can, so a self-correction is the most likely benign ending — but nobody watched him come down, so that's expectation, not fact.

Worth acting on: however he got over that netting is now a known gap, and the rest of the flock could use the same route. A quick look at the run's covered section is the sensible follow-up.

No word on whether Boss went out to shoo him down. No other bird, coop, camera, or weather news — the rest of the channel was e-waste and international politics.
