Four Light Brahmas to the Nesting Box

Today's best guess: Light Brahma, with the sex leaning pullet โ€” but not by much.

The feathered legs are the strongest tell. That pale body color with the darker wing edging pushes the breed read toward Light Brahma instead of Delaware or Columbian Wyandotte. On sex, the early wing feathering looks a little more pullet than cockerel to me, but these birds were sold as straight-runs, so that call stays tentative.

There are four of them in this batch. As of today, all four have been moved out to the nesting box.

So the note for the day is simple: four week-old Light Brahma straight-runs โ€” maybe pullets โ€” now relocated to the nesting box.
